About Us

HESDAR Center is a higher education start-up functioning since, 5 September 2017 with a focus for faculty, students and others to provide teaching & learning, skill development, action research and creating modern education workspace, leveraging latest technology and expertise of the board members. It emphasizes on attitude and competencies’ development of faculty and not just knowledge up-gradation.

Major focus will be on Evidence based learning outcomes, Bloom’s taxonomy, PBL, Curriculum, Assessments and holistic Feedback system development.

HESDARC, Mysuru has its state of the art Skill Development Center at Hebbal industrial area with about 10,000 sft. of area for training and related activities.

Dr. P. Jayasekhar

University of Findlay - USA

Dr. P. Jayasekhar is the former Dean, College of Pharmacy National University of Science & Technology, Muscat Sultanate of Oman, affiliated to West Virginia University, USA. His illustrious career started in 1982 as a Lecturer in Pharmaceutical Chemistry, College of Pharmaceutical Sciences Thiruvananthapuram under the Directorate of Medical Medication Education, and Government of Kerala in various academic positions.

He obtained B.Pharm from Government Medical College Thiruvananthapuram and M.Pharm in Medicinal Chemistry from the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Nagpur University, and Ph. D in Medicinal chemistry from the University of Kerala. He is an approved research guide of the University of Kerala and was nominated as Chairman, Board of Studies in Pharmaceutical Sciences, and the member of Faculty of Medicine of Universities of Calicut, Kerala, and Kannur. He is a Fellow of the Institution of Chemists, Kolkata (F.I.C) and served as inspector and expert committee member of PCI, AICTE, and NBA.

My commitment to this endeavor in improving pharmacy practice in India has been recognized by both my Alma Mater [BITS, Pilani] and Indian Pharmacist Association, as they have bestowed on me B.M.Mithal Memorial and M.L. Khorana Memorial award, respectively.

Vision Statement – Availability of novel therapeutic products for various treatments and aging global population has increased the need for pharmacists to play an ever-important role in patient care.  The academic institutions in West have responded by modifying curriculum, increasing duration of education and awarding PharmD degrees -making it a requirement for pharmacy practice.   Many developing nations, including India, have copied the six-year educational program, but it had made little impact on reality of pharmacy practice at the ground level. My vision will be to expand - what I have done during the past decade at my University by providing opportunities for Indian pharmacy students to visit and learn pharmacy practice for the 21st century, to the global arena, so patients all over the world can get benefitted from pharmacist’s knowledge and services.

Kalpesh V. Mehta

  • Kalpesh provides leadership, team building skills, inspiring vision & passion for customer satisfaction and is responsible for overall company performance & success.
  • His expertise is grounded in software engineering and business process outsourcing that he has successfully delivered to customers for over 12 years.
  • Kalpesh is recognized in the software industry for his design and development of an innovative analysis tool for sizing & calculating the cost and effort of migrating Lotus Notes to Share Point.
  • Kalpesh established a cross-platform mobile development practice and created a structured methodology and tools to build applications for different mobile platforms with the same code base.
  • The leading international & Indian organizations that have benefitted from his business & technical skills and experience include – Synopsis, SONY, Home Depot, Coca Cola and UAE.
  • He is widely recognized for the successful design, development of start-up business venture software & products in the hospitality, communications, fashion and entertainment industries.
  • Kalpesh earned BE in E&C from University of Mysuru & has been awarded the “Udyog Ratan” award by Institute of Economic Studies, New Delhi, India.

Dr. B.G. Nagavi

Founder CEO & Senior Consultant - Mysuru

  • Dr. Nagavi is Founder CEO & Senior Consultant of Higher education Skill Development and Research (HESDAR) Center, Mysuru, Karnataka since Sept. 2017.
  • From Jan 2007 to Aug. 2017 (11 years), Dr. Nagavi was working as Professor and founding Dean, RAK College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, RAK Medical & Health Sciences University, RAK, UAE. Arranged for site visit for CAA, equivalent to NBA/NAAC where American experts review the college & give feedback Established JSS community Pharmacy in 2003 in Mysuru and developed academic based comprehensive Community pharmacy program. Served for 22 years from 1985 ti 2007 as Principal JSS College of Pharmacy, Mysuru.
  • Guided 40 PG’s and 05 Ph.D.’s.
  • Member of Board Directors of Asian Association of schools of pharmacy (2005-2007). He was also ExCom member (2005-2007) of Academic Section of International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP).
  • Vice president of Indian Pharmaceutical Association (IPA) from 2000 to 2006.
  • Editor of Indian Journal of Pharmacy Education and Research (IJPER) from 1997 to 2007.
  • About 70 national and 13 international publications Addressed around 20 international and more than 125 national level conferences and meetings and travelled around the globe.
  • Recipient of Distinguished Teacher Award of Assoc. of Pharm Teachers of India (APTI) in 1998 and has a Patent and Trade mark registration to his credit.
